You don't want to get your shoes wet? 

Well, haven't I got the perfect thing for you! Take a good look at these, the umbrella shoes. Put these on and you can tip toe around, and nearly NO water coming from the sky will hit your feet. Well, the front of your feet at least 

Quite frankly I would have liked to test these!

Seems like a perfectly good idea, don't you think?  Well, the baby cage did catch on - to a degree. It is first and foremost associated with New York, where the above photo is taken from. The photo is of a nanny supervising a baby in a wire cage in New York City. The cages were distributed to members of the Chelsea Baby Club who had no gardens. The photo was taken June 23, 1937.  The baby cage was used even in London, before World War 2 put an end to it.  Read more about the baby cage here .
